We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Class 2 HGV Drivers & Jetting Operatives based out of our Highbridge Depot to join our dynamic team working across Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall. You’ll be working on a variety of small and large-diameter sewer cleaning projects, including culverts and outfalls.
The ideal candidate will possess an up-to-date CPC driver card, and while experience in high-pressure water jetting would be advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.
Holding qualifications such as PTS (City & Guilds) Confined Space Entry, NRSWA (Street works), and a valid CSCS card would also be highly beneficial.
As an HGV Driver and Jetting Operator at Glanville Environmental, your responsibilities will include:
- Operating and driving Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and responsibly.
- Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
- Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
- Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
- Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
- Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.
The position entails working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, being part of our client-centred 24/7 reactive service. This means that occasional participation in a call-out rota and willingness to work overtime will be essential, rewarded with enhanced overtime rates. Embracing a hands-on approach, this role demands both enthusiasm and flexibility, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
