Job Title External: CCTV Survey Assistant – Drainage

Location: Plympton
Salary: Starting from £12.21 (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (45 hours per week), with some out-of-hours work required

We’re looking for a practical, hands-on individual to join our growing CCTV and drainage team as a CCTV Survey Assistant. This field-based role involves supporting surveyors with drainage inspections, using specialist CCTV equipment, and working on a variety of operational tasks across Devon and Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surveyors with CCTV drainage inspections and equipment setup
• Support confined space entries and manhole surveys
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently on site
• Maintain accurate site records and complete basic reporting
• Look after tools and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for use
• Work outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions

What You’ll Need

• A valid CSCS Card
• Full UK driving licence
• Good team spirit and communication skills
• A practical mindset with problem-solving ability
• Strong timekeeping and reliability
• Fit and able to work outdoors and in physically demanding conditions
• Comfortable working near sewage and wastewater infrastructure

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in drainage, utilities, groundworks, or civils
• Confined space entry training (or willingness to undertake training)
• Based near Newton Abbot and able to reliably commute
