The Day-to-Day role will include:
Key Responsibilities
- Issuing purchase orders, ensuring that you have the relevant information, rate, cost code etc
- Entering the information from the delivery tickets onto our plant & materials system
- Timely and accurate posting and matching of supplier’s invoices to the purchase orders and delivery tickets while adhering to the monthly deadlines
- Dealing with and investigating any invoice queries, liaising with the site teams and suppliers to find a resolution
- Producing accruals reports for the commercial team
- Producing weekly plant hire and material reports to the site teams
- Liaising with our Depots and ensuring that our material stock levels are being monitored and the costs coded to the correct department
- Preparing monthly reports for the Accounts team
- Cross reference against suppliers’ portals to ensure we have all the information that is needed to clear the invoices when they arrive
- Place orders for Personal Protective Equipment
- Assist the Cost & Value Manager with any new procedures as they arise
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate would have experience working within a similar Role.
- Be extremely proficient with Microsoft Excel and web-based programs
- Have strong numerical & organisation skills
- Have good attention to detail
- Be a team player
- Have an inquisitive and positive mindset
- Have the ability to work to a clear timetable, prioritise and manage own workload
- Have good organisational and communication skills
- Have the ability to think outside of the box
- Is keen to learn and progress in the growing department
